The first results of the season! John makes an amazing re-entry and takes the win with a 13.8 average finish. My season couldn't start off crappier, as I finish last. Boo.John 13.8
Chip 16.2
Ali 18.8
Melody 21.4
Erik 25.6
JC 26.6
My thoughts on the race:
1) WTF? How did we get from "We will definitely get the end of this race in. NASCAR wants to run the full race. They are drying the track now. Showers are light and the radar shows it will clear up, so we'll go back racing" to "NASCAR called the race and Kenseth wins" -??!?! Apparently it was Jack Roush and Ford's turn to win, so they handed it to them. I have nothing against Kenseth, but that was not cool.
2) Did you see Jeff Hammond? Either he contracted some sort of weird oopma loompa disease in the offseason, or he needs to lay off the mystic tan.
3) New driver crush -- Scott Speed....yummmmmeee! (You wanted a female commish! Look forward to these comments every week!)
4) Even when doing nothing blatantly wrong, for some reason Kyle Busch continues to be a weenie
5) Yes, the Jr. hit was without doubt, on purpose. Had that been Tony or Harvick or a Busch, they would be in the big red truck getting spanked on the bare butt by Mike Helton while he counted down the points he was going to dock them.
Hopefully next week will be more exciting. Until then... keep Scott Speed in your hearts.
1. I felt the same way!! Any other day they woul dhave spent 2 hours drying the track to get the full race in. What was this.. like 20 minutes?
ReplyDelete2. Both Hammond and DW have GOT to use higher SPF.
3. Please... PLEASE... not every week! It's bad enough you had a crush on Kasey. Now Speed. Isn't he older than your boyfriend? No, wait... that's Langano.
4. Agreed.
5. See my comments under "Daytona 500". In short, Jr. didn't do it on purpose.
Absolutely right... wait.. lemme address properly
ReplyDelete1) seriously.. wtf.. the rain was coming down like 10x harder and 5x longer in 2004 when Michael won.. wth kinda policy is this.. stick it out.. 2007 they dont call a caution when the ENTIRE FIELD wrecks behind harvick and martin... .. the fans in unison spit.. and they call the race.
2)Hammond.. dude.. i watch the guy talk.. and i can see the 6yo in his sunday school clothes with the lisp.. he irks me for some reason. Chris Meyers shoulda stayed doing Sports Center.. love the guy.. and DW sounds like he is needing Mucinex.
3).. NICE Chip... seriously.. you're gonna next say the kid racing Michael Wallace in the Geico commercials is "hot for his age"
4)Funny how he always will be.. the little spotlight segments before the ace just shows off what a tool he is.
5).. totally not intentional. hear his reaction.. you cant fake that. Plus.. he naturally come sup behind.. he would not risk wrecking the field when the cars came back towards him.. he'd know that. not cause it's Jr.. this wasn't one on one like Busch/Jr last season out in front where no one was around.. or Vickers/Johnson/Jr at Talladega... this was dangerous.. had there been a hit of intentional action, black flagged.
Jen.. don't you like the Old Spice commercials?.. are you bathing in it so you can smell Tony with you all the time?
You are both delusional. If you see that crash in full speed -- Junior ABSOLUTELY turned right back up into Vickers on purpose. Ugh. They had been talking for the 10 previous laps about how frustrated Junior was! And Junior knows...you only get black flagged if you are NOT JUNIOR.
ReplyDeleteHaha...what a great idea! Excuse me while I run to Walgreens to pick up some Old Spice!
By the way....see the "subscribe by email" link below? If you do that, you will be emailed each time a comment posts. This was one of Chip's requests.
